Roxy

A Pughasa is a mix of a pug and a lhasa apso and hands down the best dog I have ever owned. Happy, super friendly, loving and cute as a button !!!
It can be difficult to find places that are dog friendly to visit. Roxy likes to go everywhere with me ...
Visit this website for ideas on dog friendly cafes, pubs, beaches and accommodation. Roxy and I recently visited a very nice dog friendly cafe in Castle Douglas. So great to be able to take her inside and enjoy a cup of coffee without having to sit outside in the pouring rain and freezing wind. They brought her a bowl of water and a sweetie too.
Dogs are people too !!! Don't leave your pet out when planning somewhere to visit, just research ahead of time where they are welcome and make compromises. What can be better than having your best friend along on a day trip or a holiday ?!!
There are a lots of rules and regulations to sift through but some airlines allow you to carry your pet in the cabin with you provided you pay for him or her as excess baggage (costing around £129) ... it's worth considering.
We will hopefully be travelling with Roxy for a month long holiday to Canada this autumn. It broke her heart when we left her behind last year so currently researching reasonably priced airlines that will allow her to come along in the cabin.
Check out this web page for tips on travelling with your pet.

Joules Wellies

I love my joules wellies !!! Fun designs, waterproof and a great fit. They are not the sturdiest wellies I have ever worn (that would have to be Hunter, nach ...) but they are the coolest !!!
The ones I am pictured wearing here at the beach are last years design but there are so many designs to choose from, new ones released each season that you will find a pair you love easy peasy. I would defo wear them with welly socks as they are lacking insulation but I have worn these at the yard, at the beach, at horse events, in the wood, through the snow ... the list goes on and not a split in sight !!!
One word of warning ... I left these wellies in the car for a while (which I always do, handy to have them there if a muddy situation occurs ...) and discovered the insoles to be chewed up, not dog chewed up but mice chewed up. Came to the conclusion that we have mice living in the car, could be something to do with all the french fries that fell under the front passenger seat and that we never did get around to digging out ...
